More and more, I am understanding what it means to be a serpent bearer. This is a truly astounding process. It’s going to be difficult to find succinct language to describe it. The bit I can convey today is, own your own shadow. Spend 100% of your energy on your own work. Others will reflect where your pain points are. Let triggers show you where to focus, but remember, the mirror where you caught your reflection, is not the problem. The problem is reflected in the mirror. Freedom comes with the proper perspective. About The Image
I use MidJourney to generate the images I use on my website. I’ve found a style I really like. It’s not great for every subject, but it’s great for conveying emotion in abstract and creative ways. I usually generate hundreds of images for a single post so I have a number of them that illustrate this serpent bearer motif. You’ll probably see a lot of them in the coming weeks and months as this is the trajectory and process I’m in now.
Becoming The Serpent Bearer
It’s an absolutely stunning experience to move from repulsion to embrace. I used to have recurring dreams of snakes biting me. That hasn’t happened for a number of years, and now I find myself understanding why embrace of this frequency is the way into freedom. You will never be free of the serpent. It is the cycle of birth, life, death and transcendence. Yes, it was demonized in history in order to hide its integral relationship from us. Without awareness of it, we become trapped in a way. When we remember, we begin to see the way up and out of the symbolic trap. We never were trapped, but it’s very difficult to move forward, to evolve, without the elements of life that propel us that way.
The serpent is the symbol for this process. Yes, you’ve been born into your current experience, and you’re living it. But did you realize, at any point, that you can let it die, that you can transcend it, and be reborn into something new? It requires embracing the process, surrendering to its nature, but also accepting its rules. Something must die. You must shed that skin to transcend what has died. Then there is a rebirth.
I’m at the stage where I’m understanding the utter beauty of embracing the serpent. I’m guessing that won’t go over well with most. The imagery evokes fear. The stories we’ve been told about the uncontrollable feminine dancing with shadowy symbols provoke fear. I’m literally shaking my head as I wonder how on Earth I’m going to find the language to explain how absolutely unfortunate that misperception is.
The serpent is not something to avoid. It’s literally The Way.
Amen. All The Love ❤️
