Death is on our doorstep. I know — this post may be provocative. Moving on. The Sun is, astronomically, leaving Libra on the 23rd. It will then entire the constellation (not sign) of Scorpio for a total of six days, arguably the most potent days of the year. Scorpio represents the archetype of death, the “I’m done with this shit,” aspect of human life. If you don’t feel this brewing yet, you will. Continue »

Earlier today I broke out singing — out loud — to the great mother of creation, Sophia. I have no idea why I did this. I just did. And I said to Sophia, once I completed my little song for her, “Sophia! I hope your council of mentors is teaching me how to die … get on them about that if they aren’t. They need to teach me this NOW.”
Should you speak to the mother of creation in this manner? I followed up with the comment,
“I suppose I’m gonna hear about my manner of addressing you.”
Then I started to laugh. You see, I find that absolutely hilarious. I felt into the field to see if Sophia was laughing with me. Everyone was laughing. I said, “You have to admit, I’m friggen funny. I hope the entire universe ripples when I laugh.”
I could not stop. I probably laughed for five minutes straight … until some gargantuan waves of emotion welled up out of nowhere. Then I went through sheer agony for about five minutes, only to burst into laughter again.
This is the death process.
To die or not to die … that is the question
Now I’m not talking about physical death here. I’m talking about the archetypal process … the cycle of birth, life, and death. One must first die in order to be born into a greater experience of life. This is the role of Scorpio, the proverbial, “Nope, I’m done,” phase within human experience. We should probably be happy it’s only six days out of the year … generally November 23 through November 29. Most people understand the process of physical death, but they probably don’t understand why it’s necessary or that [physical death] isn’t actually necessary at all. Death is necessary, just not physical death, not anymore.
This is why I made my humorous demands to Sophia and her mentors, “Teach me how to die!” This is a process that generally “happens” to most folks. We unconsciously walk ourselves straight into death experiences — death of a job, death of a relationship, death of a pet or loved one, death of a dream. We experience death all the time, but I’d wager most do not do this consciously.
I’m trying to die here
… consciously. The intensity of the experience grows as we near these six days of Scorpio. My experience with Sophia today is just one in a line of strange experiences leading toward it. I expect an unbelievable death by next Wednesday!
Now, what comes immediately after death, is not rebirth. What comes after death is a process that has been lost to humanity for eons. Technically, the entire cyclical nature of life — the divine feminine ray — has been suppressed, but its return to our conscious lives is imminent, and already unfolding. More on that later. What follows death is a process that has been symbolized throughout history by The Serpent. Why? Because the serpent sheds its skin. What has died, must be released, shed, surrendered, left behind. One does not forget what was lived, but the shedding process relinquishes the bondage to it. One cannot be reborn if one still clings to what has died.
This process between death and rebirth, symbolized by The Serpent, asks the initiate, “Can you shed what is done, in order to be reborn into what is new?” Eons ago, when knowledge of this process was still within humanity’s collective awareness, there were other well-known symbols tied to it. The story of Asclepius, The Serpent Bearer, may be the most famous, as his staff of intertwined serpents, with wings at the top, is still used by the medical world as a symbol of healing. Asclepius discovered that not only did part of the serpent die, but it also shed that part of itself, allowing a new experience of itself to emerge. The story goes, he applied this wisdom in his own life and discovered the secrets of resurrection. Zeus was not fond of this emerging situation however. Can’t have the population aware that they’re technically immortal. So Zeus hurled Asclepius into the heavens, oddly memorializing him in the constellation of Ophiuchus, The Serpent Bearer … the very same constellation that follows death, Scorpio.
The Serpent Bearer’s Test
I’m not sure it’s prudent to describe the process that follows death, as a test. Perhaps that’s the wrong word. It’s a choice for the most part. Do you choose to shed your skin and move on to a new experience? Can you do it? Some people cling to what has been. It’s a choice to repeat it, to do it again. Some people choose what’s next. However, shedding that skin isn’t as easy as one might think. I’m literally in this process. It’s very interesting how the ego clings to things it literally fears. It’s bizarre.
This is the “test”.
I absolutely want to shed this skin and move on to what’s next, but my zealous desire to do so, is not enough to propel me through the gate. No, ego cannot hide within that zealousness or disguise itself that way either. It’s one thing to say you’ll shed your skin. It’s another to actually do it. So it’s a choice, but you need to be prepared to authentically represent that choice during this phase.
The Sun enters the constellation of Ophiuchus on November 29th and remains there through December 17th. I’m planning to die a fabulous death here in the next 7 days and when Ophiuchus rolls around, I plan to pass this test.

Do you resonate with this?
If you’re in this process, or have already moved through it, one of the unmistakable signs is that others will either be completely repelled by you, or magnetically drawn to you. When you carry this frequency of the serpent, others may come near you to bolster their own death and shedding process. Still more will avoid you entirely. To see those things that must die and be left behind, can be overwhelming or disturbing for many. You may find yourself in altercations with others, as the serpent frequency mirrors straight back to them, what needs to go, what needs to die, what must be released and shed. You often become the villain in the unconscious experiences of many. Give yourself space to navigate all this, and know, you are not alone. There’s an entire collective of serpent bearers coming online now, who will, in time, guide everyone else through this. So take your time to experience it completely. Your experience today will later become your curriculum.
Amen. All the love sweet friend ❤️
