A Course In Miracles Phase 3 Lesson Review

Generalizing The New Identity

Review 3 is less concerned with introducing concepts than with making them usable. Jesus explicitly warns against completing a formal practice period and then leaving the idea behind. The two daily thoughts are meant to accompany ordinary activity, apparent problems, emotional disturbance, and relationships throughout the day. The review pairs the ideas so the student begins experiencing them as one coherent thought system: miracles require the strength of true identity; peace follows from changeless creation; salvation comes from the One Self; Spirit naturally has a function; forgiveness becomes salvation; happiness becomes God’s shared Will; Love becomes the inheritance sought; receiving requires stillness; truth is learned through giving; and the whole sequence ends in rest within the Self God created.
