A Course In Miracles Lesson 312

I see all things as I would have them be

The Point — Lesson 311 identified judgment as the hidden cause. Lesson 312 shows the perceptual result: you see what you have already decided you want to see. Perception follows purpose. If the goal is guilt, perception finds guilt. If the goal is freedom, Christ’s Vision finds a liberated world. This does not mean the personality consciously invents every visual event; it means the mind’s chosen purpose determines which meaning becomes dominant.

What’s Undone — The assumption: seeing happens first → judgment happens afterward. The Course reverses it:

Where It Fits — Lesson 311 I judge according to what I want. Lesson 312 Then I perceive according to what I judged.

The Takeaway — Perception follows purpose: what you decide reality should mean becomes the evidence you train yourself to see.
