A Course In Miracles Lesson 286

The hush of Heaven holds my heart today

The Point — The Course becomes very quiet here. Jesus says there is no need that you do anything because in God the conflict you are trying to solve has already been resolved. This does not mean practical inactivity. It means relinquishing the ego’s conviction that salvation depends upon its constant effort, correction, management, and control. The mind can rest because what it ultimately seeks has already been given.

What’s Undone — The belief that spiritual completion depends upon continuous personal effort by the separate self.

Where It Fits — Lesson 285 Releases suffering as a path. Lesson 286 Releases striving as a path. What remains is receptivity.

The Takeaway — Heaven’s stillness appears when the ego stops treating salvation as a project it must personally complete.
