A Course In Miracles Lesson 273

The stillness of the peace of God is mine

The Point — Peace is not something circumstances grant and then withdraw. It is a gift God gave His Son and therefore remains part of what you are. Jesus even anticipates that you may not experience an entirely peaceful day and removes the possibility of failure: when disturbance arises, simply learn to return. The practice is increasingly gentle. You are not required to force stillness; you are asked to remember that stillness belongs to you beneath the disturbance.

What’s Undone — The belief that losing awareness of peace means peace itself has been lost.

Where It Fits — Lesson 272 releases the search for satisfaction in illusions. Lesson 273 turns toward what remains when the search quiets, the peace already given by God.

The Takeaway — Disturbance can obscure peace, but it cannot take away what God gave as part of you.
