Peace to my mind • Let all my thoughts be still
The Point — Part II begins not with another argument but with silence. Jesus asks you to stop trying to solve yourself through thought and wait instead for the Voice that already knows what you are. This is forgiveness in its mature form: the mind stops defending its interpretations long enough for another answer to become audible. Peace is not manufactured by successfully controlling every thought. It emerges as the mind ceases insisting that its own thinking must provide the answer.
What’s Undone — The belief that constant analysis, judgment, and internal commentary are necessary in order to remain safe or find truth.
Where It Fits — “What Is Forgiveness?” said forgiveness looks, waits, and judges not. Lesson 221 immediately puts that into practice: Be still and listen.
The Takeaway — Forgiveness begins to mature into silence when you stop demanding that your own thoughts tell you who you are.
