From Corrected Perception To Grace
This phase moves the Workbook toward the boundary between learning and direct experience. The student is asked to relinquish personal judgment, reclaim the power of decision, abandon defense, accept a function as God’s messenger, and increasingly let guidance replace self-direction. Identity then becomes experiential: holiness is not merely believed but walked with; God’s Presence is approached; Christ’s Vision is received and extended; fear is recognized as foreign to the Self; and a brother becomes the doorway through which holiness is seen. The final lessons press toward the Course’s deepest claims: death is an idea rather than Reality, Life has no opposite, God’s Thought has never left the mind, His gifts cannot be lost, grace is received rather than earned, and what grace reveals must be brought back and given. The phase ends by exposing cruelty and attack as defenses of fear, making Love—not fear—the final reference point.
